It’s been great working with Coptic Orphans — our project in Egypt. I received a letter from the organization which included a picture that one of the children drew just for me. Many of the children at this organization have never corresponded with anyone, cannot write a letter or struggle with what to say or how to say it. For this child, his picture spoke louder than words of his personality, positivity — and it put a huge smile on my face!

In the letter that I wrote back, I told him that I have a son his age. In fact, I included a picture that my son made for him. I told him of my dream to one day bring my son to Egypt and hoped for the possibility of meeting someday. I can’t wait for the next letter or picture. The children at this organization are truly wonderful.
