On Tuesday, February 22, a 6.3 magnitude earthquake hit downtown Christchurch, devastating the city center and leaving thousands without shelter, water and other major necessities. Amidst the rubble, rescue teams are continuing to work around the clock searching for survivors and assisting those in need.
To show support for friends, partners, vendors and colleagues in New Zealand the Collette Foundation has pledged to support the Salvation Army in their efforts. The Salvation Army has mobilized and is working diligently serving meals, manning crisis centers and continuing to search for survivors.
The Collette Foundation will match all donations made by employees, clients, partners and friends up to $15,000USD. “New Zealand and it’s people have given us so much, it is important that we show our support in their time of need. ” says Daniel Sullivan, Jr., Collette Vacations’ President and CEO.
As always, 100% of all donations made through the Collette Foundation will go directly to those in need. If you’d like to join in the efforts of the Collette Foundation and make a donation you can do so by writing a check (please write ‘New Zealand’ in the memo line) to the Collette Foundation Attn: Donna Warner, 180 Middle Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860.
