Sales Team Visits New Hope Foster Home in China
Last May, the Collette Vacations Sales Force had the unforgettable opportunity to spend the afternoon at the New Hope Foster Home in China. At this time a gift of $5,000 was given the home to continue their amazing work with the orphaned children of China. At the New Hope Foster Home orphaned children with birth defects are given the much needed medical care as well as a much improved opportunity for adoption.
The Collette Foundation, and Team China - Carol Palmer, Kevin Carter and Lisa Corrente - will continue the great support of the New Hope Foster Home with another gift of $10,000 in October to continue to support the remarkable medical work that they provide for their orphaned infants.

Things are really adding up in Chihuahua, Mexico
Team Mexico - Collette employees Patricia Grady Lopez, Melanie McDonald, Lucas Bialecki and Chris Cahill - have taken a very innovative approach to their project at the Granja de Hogar de los Ninos. It had become apparent that the students had below average math skills and this was a major need of the school.
Team Mexico met this need by providing $5,000 to Granja de Hogar. This was used to give the instructors the great opportunity to attend a National Mathmatics Workshop to increase their teaching skills in math, as well as providing new math enhancement tools, such as books and games to the 130 students!

The South Africa Team is very excited about our partnership with the Hippo Rollers and The Knysna Educational Trust. Last month, I had the privilege to go to South Africa and see first hand how our contributions will make an impact; from supplying Hippo Rollers to remote villages to assist with the simple task of collecting water to providing over 25 preschools with blackboards which will enhance the learning experience of young children.
My experience in Knysna really brought our efforts to light as I saw the smiling faces of these spectacular children who are just so full of life! We are so excited to have our clients begin to experience our projects and the impact in 2008 and beyond!

"Eat So They Can"
It is a known fact that 18,000 children die each day from starvation ... how can we help?

On October 13th we invite you to dine with 10 or more friends to raise awareness of child hunger, become an ambassador of hope, and have a fantastic evening!
How do you "Eat So They Can" ... it's simple! Just visit www.eatsotheycan.org and sign up to host a dinner party on October 13th. All the information is there for you! All we ask is that you send us an email to let us know you participated!
